Credit card processing advocacy for veterinary practices

You care for pets. We help your clinic pay less in credit card processing fees.

Wellness exams, vaccinations, emergency care, prescription refills, and pet food all help you care for animals. Accepting card payments for that care comes at a cost. We review those fees and, with your permission, negotiate with your current processor so your veterinary clinic can keep more. No sales call required.

We understand the practice behind the payments

A full appointment book should not mean an overlooked processing bill.

Between caring for pets, discussing treatment estimates with their families, filling prescriptions, and managing a busy reception desk, reviewing every processing charge is another job your veterinary team does not need. That is where SPA comes in.

From the exam room to the pet food shelf

A wellness visit, diagnostic work, a prescription, or a bag of therapeutic food can each lead to a card payment. We review the processing costs attached to that activity, not your clinical decisions or treatment prices.

More than the terminal rate

A payment at reception, a payment link, and a card kept on file may carry different costs. We look at the pricing that applies to the ways your practice actually collects payment.

Keep the front desk moving

Your team should not have to learn a new payment system to find out whether your fees are fair. Our first step is reviewing the merchant account you already have.

Practice revenue is not the same as card volume.

Client financing, direct insurance payments, and ordinary card payments may follow different paths. We separate those costs so any savings assessment reflects your actual processing, not a misleading percentage of total revenue.

Experience in your corner

Familiar with veterinary practices. Experienced with processors.

Our founder’s background includes helping veterinary clinics and pet retailers manage the cost of supplies, medications, and products for their shelves, along with 20 years in credit card processing. We care about the people who care for animals. Our role is to help protect your practice’s margin by questioning payment costs, not your treatment decisions or the care you provide.

The work is ours. The decision is yours.

A statement review is just the beginning.

We do more than explain the fees. We take the next step with your processor when there is an opportunity worth pursuing.

  1. Review

Send one recent merchant statement. We review your practice’s pricing and return clear written findings within two business days of a complete, readable submission.

  2. Negotiate

If there is a worthwhile opportunity and you authorize us in writing, we take the pricing conversation to your current processor. Your clinical team keeps doing its work.

  3. Monitor

Under the agreed monitoring terms, we check future statements against the negotiated pricing and flag increases or new charges that could reduce the benefit.

Already getting a fair deal? We will tell you. An honest answer is a useful outcome, too.

Before you send a statement

A few fair questions.

Will we have to change our practice management software?

Our service starts with your existing processor and payment setup. We pursue improvements to that arrangement, not a software replacement. If an integration or agreement limits what can be changed, we explain that before you decide anything.

Does our practice manager need to get on a sales call?

No. The initial review can begin with a statement, and you can receive the findings by email or text. Before any negotiation, the practice owner or an authorized decision-maker must approve our engagement. Your processor may have its own steps to recognize that authorization.

What if we offer client financing or collect insurance payments?

Those payments can involve different providers and fees. We distinguish ordinary card-processing charges from financing and other payment costs rather than treating every dollar of practice revenue as card volume.

Should we send pet medical records or client information?

No. Send the monthly merchant processing statement, not pet medical records, client lists, or transaction-level exports. Redact full card numbers, unnecessary bank details, and other sensitive information. Never send passwords or login credentials.

What if our rates are already competitive?

We will say so. The review is free. If we do not save you money, you pay nothing. If you choose to engage SPA, our small fee comes from verified savings under your client agreement.
